Welcome to InstaHonest. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

InstaHonest is a mutual accountability app that allows two consenting partners to monitor each other's app installation and usage activity. The app uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks to detect app usage, and Firebase to sync status between linked accounts.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use InstaHonest. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Account and Authentication

• You must sign in using Sign in with Apple to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and device.
• You may only link with a partner who has mutually consented to the monitoring arrangement.

4. Subscription and Payment

• InstaHonest Premium is available as a monthly auto-renewing subscription at $2.99/month USD (prices may vary by region).
• A 3-day free trial is offered to new subscribers. You will not be charged during the trial period.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase (or at the end of the free trial if not cancelled).
• Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• All payments are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.
• Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy.

5. Consent and Mutual Use

InstaHonest is designed for use between two consenting adults. By linking your account with a partner, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your partner will be able to see whether monitored apps are installed on your device.
• Your partner will receive notifications when you install, remove, or use monitored apps.
• You have voluntarily agreed to this monitoring arrangement.
• You may unlink from your partner and revoke monitoring permissions at any time.

Do not use this app to monitor someone without their knowledge or consent. Misuse of the app for surveillance, stalking, or harassment is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app to monitor anyone without their informed, voluntary consent.
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the app's security features.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app.
• Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. Deleting your account will:

• Permanently remove all your data from our servers.
• Unlink you from your partner.
• Stop all monitoring and notifications.

Note: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through Apple.

8. Disclaimers

• InstaHonest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee that monitoring will detect every app installation or usage event. Background detection depends on system-level permissions and iOS behaviour that may vary.
• We are not responsible for any relationship outcomes arising from the use of this app.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InstaHonest and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to emotional distress, loss of data, or relationship disputes.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, including using the app for non-consensual monitoring or other prohibited activities.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
